Throughout the summer we've hosted information sessions to prepare you for your MD journey. We're posting here the presentation for your reference. 

MD 1st Year 1:1 Appointments

Zoom Drop-In During Lunch

Between August 10^th-September 11^th , Lunch-Time (12-1PM) Zoom Drop-ins are available on both Tuesdays and Fridays. 

Federal Borrowing Checklist:

• Build a budget so you know exactly what you need to borrow.
• Accept your Federal Loans in Self-Service Banner (SSB).
• Complete your Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling requirements.
• Complete the Title IV Authorization requirement via Student Financial Services (SFS).
• Note: First-year medical students (MD1) are not eligible for Federal GradPLUS loans.

Billing & Refunds:

• Set Up eRefund: Log into payment.brown.edu and link your personal U.S. checking/savings account before requesting refunds.
• Refund Requests: Complete the Student Refund Request Form no earlier than 3 days prior to the start of the semester.
• Set Up Authorized Users: Add parents or guardians as Authorized Users in the payment system if you would like them to have account access or speak with counselors.
