    Stephanie is the Director of Financial Aid.  She received her Master of Education in Administration, Policy and Training from Boston University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York at Potsdam.  Stephanie has been at Brown since February 2025.

    As the Director of Financial Aid, Stephanie is responsible for the overall management and administration of student financial aid. She develops the aid policy and expenditures of institutional scholarship and loan resources.  Stephanie oversees the review and award process of approximately 400 students resulting in the disbursement of over $13.5M in financial assistance annually. Stephanie cares a great deal about the financial well-being of students and works to ensure timely counsel on topics such as awarding, budgeting and debt management strategies.

    Stephanie lives in Massachusetts where she enjoys spending quality time with her family, particularly in nature or on bikes. Stephanie loves cheering on her daughter from the sidelines in all her various activities, but she also enjoys coaching her daughter’s youth basketball program.

    Jasmine Samuels serves as the Associate Director of Financial Aid at The Warren Alpert Medical School. A dedicated financial aid professional since 2009, Jasmine brings a wealth of experience to Brown, having previously worked at institutions in Florida and Massachusetts.

    In her role, Jasmine manages half of the MD student caseload alongside her peer, Stephanie Hunt. She also serves as the primary point of contact for students in the Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME).

    Jasmine is deeply committed to making financial aid equitable and accessible for all students. Her goal is to demystify the financial aid process, helping students understand that the financial aid team is here to facilitate the exploration of all available options to cover tuition and fees, acting as partners in their educational journey rather than as a hindrance.
